This month’s event will showcase an all-women line-up of chefs in honor of National Women’s History Month. Guests will enjoy 5 dishes crafted just for the evening, all celebrating the flavors of the season and each chef’s distinct influences and style. Acclaimed bartender Lindsay Nader will craft a special TEAL-tini cocktail for the evening, with proceeds of sales benefiting the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.

$65 per person includes tasting menu, reception and cocktails.

6:30 pm – 7:30 pm: Reception; 7:30 pm: First Course and Seating.

ABOUT THE CHEFS

Leslie Durso
Veggie DreamGirl

Actor, chef and vegan personality Leslie Durso integrates local growers and organic wineries to deliver a farm-to-stylish-table recipes. Leslie shares her passion for the “whole” food on her popular website as well as appearances on TV and throughout the web. Her girl-next-door persona attracts people of all walks of life, and through her web/TV presence, Leslie hopes to inspire people worldwide with her passion of healthy eating habits.

Meg Hall
Made by Meg

Chef Meg Hall attended Le Courdon Bleu, and worked at Ortolan, the Michelin Star kitchen in Los Angeles, with famed Chef/Owner, Christophe Eme. After an exhausting but highly rewarding journey, Meg started her own catering business to a warm welcome from friends to former clients. Her company specializes in events ranging from intimate affairs to celebrations with more than 500 people. She is a native to Manhattan Beach and an active member of the South Bay business community.

Sandra Cordero
Cordero Negro

Born to a Dutch mother and Spanish father, and raised in Amsterdam, Sandra began her professional journey through the restaurant world at the age of 15. She quickly found herself managing different establishments in Amsterdam in the front of the house. After a few years in New York, Sandra was recruited to come to Los Angeles to help design, open, and manage Royal/T Cafe in Culver City. Craving more, Sandra decided to master the back of the house and become a Chef herself, thus setting out on her own to work for, and study under, some of finest chefs in the country who call L.A. their home. She found a mentor in Neal Fraser at Grace Restaurant, staged at Providence and resided at Test Kitchen, where she worked with many a great Chef such as Ricardo Zarate and Alain Giraud to name a few. At cordero negro, her dishes are seasonally driven with locally harvested, sustainably farmed product infused with a generous touch of Spanish heritage.


Danielle Keene

Bittersweet Treats

Danielle Keene is a pastry chef and founder of Bittersweet Treats, a pastry shop that offers a modern take on old-fashioned ice cream and dessert options. Danielle grew up in a dessert loving home and has since perfected her desert making skills. She has received various awards in the past for her pastries and was a cheftestant and finalist on the first season of Bravo’s “Top Chef: Just Desserts in 2010.” Her pastries are made from scratch using unique flavors and her passion can be found in her delicious desserts.

Elysium Craft Cocktail Services

Lindsay Nader is a bartender, spirits professional and writer from Los Angeles. Lindsay has had the privilege of working with Vinny Dotolo and Jon Shook of Animal Restaurant, designing a classic drink program for the opening of their second endeavor, Son Of A Gun. Nader spent nine months working at Harvard & Stone, the second collaboration between La Descarga’s Houston Brothers, Pablo Moix and Steve Livigni, and is now excited to be on the opening team of the Houston’s latest venture, french concept bar Pour Vous.

About The Kitchen Takeover: Abigaile’s location in Hermosa Beach has a rich history as a gathering place, and perhaps most famously, as a rehearsal space for Black Flag and many of punk rock’s most influential acts. The Kitchen Takeover series carries on the location’s tradition as a gathering place with chefs coming together and collaborating for the love of food. Beyond amazing eats, guests can expect the unique experience of seeing chefs working together and providing interesting insights into their dishes.
